SCARING examines military landscapes, remains and memorialsites from the second world war in Finnmark and explores how this landscapes and the dramatic history of Finnmark are reactivated in todays society.

Finnmark is Norways northern and easternmost county. It is the secondlargest county as well as the least populous Norwegian county.
